The most popular way to reach Save Farm is by road via NH-48 (Mumbai–Ahmedabad Highway). The drive takes you through the scenic Western Ghats foothills and past small towns dotted with chikoo orchards as you approach Dahanu.
The road is a well-maintained national highway for most of the journey. Weekday drives are quicker; expect heavier traffic on Friday evenings and long weekends. A GPS search for "Save Farm Tarpa" will take you directly to our entrance.

Drive to Mumbai first and take NH-48 north. Alternatively, from Pune, take NH-60 towards Nashik, then connect to NH-48 heading south towards Dahanu. The Pune–Nashik–Dahanu route is less congested and passes through picturesque countryside.

Guests driving from Surat or southern Gujarat can take NH-48 south towards Mumbai. Exit at Dahanu and follow signs to Gholvad. The highway is smooth and well-maintained throughout.
Western Railway's suburban and long-distance trains connect Mumbai directly to the Dahanu coast. This is an affordable and scenic option, especially if you'd rather skip highway traffic.

The closest station. Select Dahanu-bound local trains stop here. From Churchgate, the local train to Dahanu Rd stops at Gholvad — the journey takes about 2 hours 45 minutes. Auto-rickshaws are available outside the station to bring you to the farm in under 5 minutes.
10 km from Save Farm
A major terminus on the Western Railway suburban line with far more frequent service. Trains from Churchgate and Mumbai Central run every 20–30 minutes during peak hours. The journey takes approximately 2 hours 30 minutes. From Dahanu Rd station, auto-rickshaws and shared tempos to Gholvad are readily available and cost ₹30–80 per person.
If you're arriving by train for the first time, share your expected arrival time when you contact us. We'll send you precise last-mile directions and can arrange a local auto-rickshaw to pick you up from the station.
The nearest airport is Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM) in Mumbai, approximately 130 km south. From the airport, you can hire a cab or take the Western Express Highway north to NH-48. Surat Airport (STV) to the north is about 230 km away and is a viable option for guests flying from eastern or northern India.
Available at both Gholvad and Dahanu Rd stations. Fare from Gholvad is ₹30–50; from Dahanu Rd, expect ₹200–250 for a private auto.
App-based cabs (Ola, Uber) have limited availability in Dahanu. We recommend booking an outstation cab from Mumbai or asking us for trusted local driver contacts.
If you're driving, GPS navigation to "Save Farm Tarpa" works reliably. Free on-site parking is available for up to 15 cars in a shaded, secure area within the farm.

Check-in begins at 1:00 PM. If you arrive early, you're welcome to explore the orchard grounds while your room is prepared.
Comfortable cotton clothing, closed-toe shoes or sturdy sandals, sunscreen, a hat, and insect repellent. During monsoon (July–September), bring a light raincoat.
October to March offers pleasant weather and peak chikoo season. Monsoon brings lush greenery. Summer (April–June) is warm but ideal for mango and jamun tastings.
Free shaded parking is available on-site for up to 15 cars. For buses or larger vehicles, please inform us in advance so we can arrange appropriate space.
Jio and Airtel have reasonable coverage in the Gholvad area. Vi and BSNL signals can be patchy. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available at the farm.
All guests above 18 must carry a valid photo ID — Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, or Election Card. Physical ID cards are required at check-in for verification.
